Standard Virtuous Women
Our Roots
Standard Virtuous Women (SVW), a non-profit organization whose aim is focused on tackling Sustainable Development Goal five(5) on promoting gender equality and empowering women. To achieve this, we are supporting the vulnerable in society, engaging in women empowerment and girl child education activities. We seek to empower girls by giving them the opportunity to learn about issues affecting their lives; enabling them to expand their social networks and learning vocational and life skills. We also intend to build the capacity of women and young girls on how to be assertive and challenge gender-based norms, attitudes, increasing girl’s self-confidence by giving them access to role models and mentors. Standard Virtuous Women was established in April, 2017. The registered seat of Standard Virtuous Women is in Tamale, Ghana. Standard Virtuous Women operates in the Upper East, Upper West, Northern, Ashanti Western, Eastern, Central and Greater Accra Regions of Ghana
